🧘‍♀️ Yoga FAQ

Do I need to be flexible to take a yoga class?

No.

Flexibility is not a prerequisite . But it can be a byproduct of consistent practice.

You come as you are. Modifications are always offered.

I’m a beginner. Which class should I take?

All of our classes are beginner friendly.

What should I bring?

Bring:

  • A yoga mat (we have one for you if needed)

  • Water

  • Comfortable clothing you can move in

For heated classes, bring a towel and hydrate well beforehand.

What if I have an injury?

Please let your teacher know before class.

Yoga is adaptable.

I will offer modifications and encourage you to move in a way that feels supportive, not forced. You are always welcome to rest at any time.

Is yoga here spiritual?

Yoga is offered in a grounded, accessible way.

There may be moments of mindfulness, breathwork, or reflection — but participation is always optional.
You do not need to follow any belief system to attend.

What makes this studio different?

Classes are intentionally small and community-centered.

This is not a performance space.
It’s a regulation space.

The focus is on connection, breath, and sustainable practice — not extreme poses.

✨ Reiki FAQ

What exactly is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle, hands-on (or hands-hovering) practice that supports nervous system regulation and deep relaxation.

It does not require belief.
It does not replace medical care.
It creates conditions for the body to settle and recalibrate.

What does Reiki feel like?

Every person experiences it differently.

Common sensations include:

  • Warmth or coolness

  • Tingling

  • Muscle softening

  • Emotional release

  • Deep relaxation

  • Feeling lighter or clearer afterward

Some people feel subtle shifts. Others feel profound physical relaxation responses.

There is no “right” way to experience it.

Is Reiki a religion?

No. Reiki is not tied to any religion.
It is a practice of intentional presence and gentle energetic support.

People from all belief systems participate.

Can Reiki heal medical conditions?

Reiki does not diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions.

It supports the body’s natural regulation process and can complement medical or therapeutic care.

If you have health concerns, always consult a licensed medical professional.

What happens during a session?

You remain fully clothed and lie comfortably on a treatment table.

We begin with a brief check-in.
The session is quiet and restorative.
Hands may rest lightly or hover above the body.

At the end, we gently integrate and reflect.

How do I know if Reiki is right for me?

Honestly, reiki is for anyone. But is especially helpful for people navigating complex experiences in their life.

You may consider Reiki if you:

  • Feel constantly “on”

  • Struggle to fully relax

  • Are processing emotional stress

  • Want deeper nervous system support

Reiki can be a supportive addition to your wellness routine.

What makes your Reiki training different?

My approach is ceremonial and also trauma-aware and nervous system-informed.

We incorporate plant medicine, yoga and breath work.

This reiki class is unique and one of a kind.
